Can someone tell me what the benefit of a rotating compose bin is? From all that I've known and read you are supposed you leave your compost alone and absolutely not disrupt the decomposition process as much as possible.
Anybody got a link for that compost bin? It would fit in my yard!
I do not understand the American obsession with paper towels. Just use a tea towel or a cloth.
REAL QUESTION: does what we flush down the toilet count as waste in this aspect? If so how can I improve on that (besides using less tp). If not..... I'm doing really good! Other than some food packing and a couple of paper towels really don't produce that much trash in a day or even a week. Been trying to convert my family to reusable/ resealable bags (which is hard in a house of 9). You don't just wake up one day and decide to be zero waste, it's a lifestyle, that sadly if my family doesn't want to take that on, they don't have to, but I'm still doing my part, no matter how small of an impact they may be. Sorry I ramble. Ik no one asked for my life story. My real question was about flushing the toilet way back there somewhere. ⬆️
I would say yes and no. Human waste is not waste in my opinion because we can’t help that. You can reduce everything else though, like don’t put anything but tp in the toilet (no paper towels, feminine hygiene products, etc). Some people choose to use more eco friendly tp (who gives a crap is one example that comes to mind) or they get a bidet to do the majority of the cleaning and use reusable rags to finish the job.

Agreed. I have a reusable water bottle in every room. Not only for convenience but as a reminder to keep drinking water & not other sugary things

@AwesomeAusi but classism is really in any movement. Like minimalism, vegetarianism, veganism, even the black lives matter movement where white people think they're above other white people because they have a sticker on there car. It's not just a zero waste thing. I'm asking about the actual sustainable practice that zero waste is. Is it really sustainable? Lots of people go straight to bulk bins but bulk bins can be full of unsustainable products like coffee and chocolate that isn't fair trade. So is it better to have the zero plastic of to pay more for brands that are registered fair trade. The ethics of it.
They should do one about the classist nature of the zero waste movement

The easiest way is just to consume less when it comes to non-essential things, such as fashion, home decor, etc.
@Christina sanderford keyword: consume LESS. Of course clothes are essential, and home decor does improve our mental health. What I mean is that no one needs to follow fashion/decor trends that constantly change. Find what truly brings you joy and take care of it so it lasts, and therefore, creates less trash! :)
How so? Idk about you but I USE the clothes and home decor that I buy.... then how is it waste?

@Julia Farrell Mainly alcohol. Kelsey suffers from chronic pain due to a rare neurological disorder in her jaw and for years she "medicated" herself with booze. She has found alternative treatments and seems much happier now, and I'm very happy about that because I enjoy her raucous comedy.
